Coronavirus? Seriously? UK on lockdown!!

As soon as the schools closed down it changed my life! That means I don’t get to see my friends, cousins and grandparents anymore. No more family get togethers, fun holidays or going out! Well, I guess if I look on the bright side, I get to spend quality time with my family; by baking yummy cakes and desserts with my mum and not having to stress about sitting my SATS!!! YAYYYY!!! However, I will most likely miss my year 6 prom and might not be able to say goodbye to my friends, which is sad. But I guess it’s better to be safe than sorry.

In the Friday Sermon, Huzoor (may Allah be his Helper) mentioned to wash our hands regularly (which I definitely do!) This applies in particular- after using the washroom; when you come from outside and when you cough or sneeze into your hand. This brings us to Huzoor’s (aba) second point, when you cough or sneeze try to do it in your elbow and always make sure you cover your mouth so that the saliva and germs don’t go spreading everywhere. Also, we should try to limit our junk food intake of products that contain preservatives as well as avoiding going out to eat at restaurants which is also something beloved Huzoor (aba) has brought our attention to. The two most important things worth doing are to always remember those people out there who have the virus in your prayers as well as your own family and friends! Ever since I haven’t been going to school I get to sleep in after fajr and I have been trying to offer Tahaj’jud prayers as well. So I guess life isn’t too bad. I hope we can get through this quickly and safely and the world and our lives can become normal once again Inshallah!
