Khilafat: United Under One Hand

Allah says in the Holy Qur'an:

Allah had promised to those among you who believe and do good works that He will surely make them Successors in the earth, as He made Successors from among those who were before them; and that He will surely establish for them their religion which He has chosen for them; and that He will surely give them in exchange security and peace after their fear: They will worship Me, and they will not associate anything with Me. Then whoso is ungrateful after that, they will be the rebellious.

(Surah An-Nur verse 56)

“Prophethood shall remain among you as long as Allah shall will. He will bring about its end and follow it with Khilafat on the precepts of prophethood for as long as He shall will and then bring about its end. A tyrannical monarchy will then follow and will remain as long as Allah shall will and then come to an end. There will follow thereafter monarchial despotism to last as long as Allah shall will and come to an end upon His decree. There will then emerge Khilafat on precept of Prophethood.” (Masnad Ahmad)

Hazrat Hakeem Maulvi Nooruddin (ra)

Hazrat Hakeem Maulvi Nooruddin (ra) was born in 1841 in the village of Bhera, Punjab. His family had a great love for the Holy Qur’an with many generations (the last 11 generations) committing it to memory. This love was passed on to Maulvi Nooruddin sahib who memorised 16 paras (parts) in one month.

Hazrat Hakeem Maulvi Nooruddin’s (ra) family tree can be traced back to Hazrat Umar (ra), the second Khalifa of the Holy Prophet (sa)!

Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmood Ahmad (ra)

“…A handsome and pure boy is coming as your guest. His name is Emmanuel and also Bashir…”

On Saturday 12^th January 1889, Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmood Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih II (ra), was born in Qadian, India. He was the eldest son of the Promised Messiah(as), born from his second wife, Hazrat Sayyeda Nusrat Jahan Begum (ra).

Hazrat Mirza Nasir Ahmad Mash III (1967)

Hazrat Mirza Hafiz Nasir Ahmad (rh)

Born on 16^th November 1909 in Qadian, he was the first son of Hazrat Musleh Maud (ra) and Grandson of the Promised Messiah (as). His birth had been foretold in a revelation to the Promised Messiah (as) and to his father Hazrat Musleh Maud (ra), who related that:

‘Allah has given me the glad tiding that I will be blessed with a son who will be a Nasir-e-Deen (helper of faith). He will be committed to serving Islam.

Personal Encounter:

Special Bond With Khilafat

13 years ago, when I was introduced to Ahmadiyyat, I had only heard about the very special bond Ahmadis shared with their beloved Khalifa. I was told of people’s accounts which spoke of unparalleled obedience and faith in Khilafat; but most of all I was amazed to see the love that members of this community have for their leader. Being a Hindu, I had not known such affection could exist for a religious leader.

Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad (rh)

Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad (rh) was born on 18^thDecember 1928, in Qadian, India. He was the son of the Second Khalifa, Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmood Ahmad (ra), and was the grandson of the Promised Messiah (as). After completing his higher studies, Huzoor (rh) dedicated his life to the service of faith.

Once, when he was only 10 years, he was asked by Maulana Abdul Rahim Nayyer, “Which reward would you cherish most for doing good work?” “Allah – Only Allah” was the reply of Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad (rh).

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad (aba)

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad (aba), was born on the 15^th of September 1950 in Rabwah, Pakistan. He is the great-grandson of the Promised Messiah (as). Huzoor (aba) is the leading figure Muslim speaking across the globe who promotes peace, love and religious harmony.

“Do not shy away from the fact that it is your religion and your belief in Allah the Almighty that motivates you to serve the cause of humanity.” – Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad (aba)

Guidance for Nasirat

“First thing is, remove all the complexes with regards to your religion, with regards to your faith, with regards to your appearance, with regards to your family background. Develop self-confidence within yourself. Then pray to Allah the Almighty in your five daily prayers. Dedicate one full Sajdah [prostration] for this purpose that Allah the Almighty gives you the strength to overcome the bad things of present-day society. So, the best way is to pray while you are offering your five daily prayers.”

My life without Huzoor (aba) would be nothing! He’s the leader I’m following, and he leads me to the right path. Without him I wouldn’t know the things I know today which are so important for every one of us.
