How to Achieve Spiritual Growth?

hadith

A man said, “O Messenger of Allah, the laws of Islam are too many for me, so tell me something I can hold onto.” The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Keep your tongue moist with the remembrance of Allah.”(Tirmidhi)

The Holy Quran

“Surely, those who believe and do good deeds, and observe Prayer and pay the Zakat, shall have their reward from their Lord.”

(Chapter 2, verse 278)

‘One is also required to act upon the teachings of the Holy Quran.

“Allah the Almighty states that one ought to fulfil His due rights. This is first and foremost fulfilled through prayers and by worshipping Him and to fulfil His commandments. Then one also has to fulfil the rights of humanity. In fact it is stated that in certain circumstances, the fulfilment of the rights of humanity are even greater than fulfilling the rights due to Allah the Almighty. Therefore, when one is fulfilling the rights of humanity; giving charity and taking care of people and their sentiments; moreover instead of causing them any harm, one seeks to provide them with benefit, then this is also another aspect with regards to spiritual growth.”

(Beloved Huzoor (may Allah be his Helper) stated in a Question and Answer with Khuddam students from Germany on April 26th 2024)

The Holy Qur'an

“And when my servants ask thee about Me, say, ‘I am near. I answer the prayer of the supplicant when he prays to Me…”
The Holy Quran ch. 2, verse 187

Hadith
